Organising a brand new Sonic Advent Calendar for the sound-diaries website. The calendar launched <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sound-diaries.com\/?p=829\">today<\/a> with a fun recording by <a href=\"http:\/\/antonmobin.blogspot.com\/\">Anton Mobin<\/a> featuring the sounds that are produced by dismantling and twiddling with a musical greetings card.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.thedomesticsoundscape.com\/site-images\/wordpress\/sound-diaries\/anton-mobin-bugged-postcard.jpg?w=950\" alt=\"\" \/> Bugged Posctard, by Anton Mobin, featured on 1st December on the Sonic Advent Calendar, a sound-diaries project.<\/p>\n<p>You may remember the first sound-diaries <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sound-diaries.com\/?page_id=7\">Sonic Advent Calendar<\/a> which was co-created by myself and my supervisor &#8211; Paul Whitty <a href=\"http:\/\/thedomesticsoundscape.com\/wordpress\/?p=266\">back in 2008<\/a>?<\/p>\n<p><object classid=\"clsid:d27cdb6e-ae6d-11cf-96b8-444553540000\" width=\"100%\" height=\"81\" codebase=\"http:\/\/download.macromedia.com\/pub\/shockwave\/cabs\/flash\/swflash.cab#version=6,0,40,0\"><param name=\"allowscriptaccess\" value=\"always\" \/><param name=\"src\" value=\"http:\/\/player.soundcloud.com\/player.swf?url=http%3A%2F%2Fapi.soundcloud.com%2Ftracks%2F7149472&amp;secret_url=false\" \/><\/object> <span><a href=\"http:\/\/soundcloud.com\/sonic-art-research\/sonic-advent-calender\">Sonic Advent Calender<\/a> by <a href=\"http:\/\/soundcloud.com\/sonic-art-research\">Sonic Art Research<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p>I love listening back to those recordings, but it&#8217;s really nice to be doing something with more people involved. So I&#8217;ve been sending emails back and forth, lining up 24-second long sounds from different contributors, and thinking about the sounds I associate with this time of year.<\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.thedomesticsoundscape.com\/site-images\/wordpress\/sound-diaries\/calendar-idea.jpg?w=950\" alt=\"\" \/>What sounds do you connect with Advent, and why?<\/p>\n<p>2. Listing all the books I no longer need or have no space to keep for sale <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.co.uk\/shops\/felixbadanimal\">here on Amazon<\/a> and all the CDs I no longer need or have no space to keep <a href=\"http:\/\/www.discogs.com\/sell\/list?seller=felicity_ford\">here on Discogs<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>3. Scheming with <a href=\"http:\/\/www.walk2012.co.uk\">Mark<\/a> for <a href=\"http:\/\/walk2012.co.uk\/blog\/\">a major walking project<\/a> to beat the cold.<\/p>\n<p>4. Reading <a href=\"http:\/\/www.devlounge.net\/code\/the-best-wordpress-slideshow-and-gallery-plug-ins\">articles on WordPress plugins<\/a> for a potential client in need of a website&#8230; people, what do you all think about this gallery plug-in? It shows photos from my beautiful Miami holiday which are a much-needed reminder of warmer climes and bright funshine.<\/p>\n<p>[cincopa A8AA1WqRlbVr]<\/p>\n<p>&#8230;if the gallery doesn&#8217;t inspire you, maybe you&#8217;ll enjoy the sounds&#8230; I know for me they are a happy reminder of exotic good times.<\/p>\n<p>5. Recording Gene Pool podcasts with Martin Franklin over <a href=\"http:\/\/www.digitalmediacentre.org\/wp\/?cat=15\">here<\/a>.
