{"id":177,"date":"2008-06-22T00:37:00","date_gmt":"2008-06-22T00:37:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/thedomesticsoundscape.com\/wordpress\/?p=177"},"modified":"2008-06-22T00:37:00","modified_gmt":"2008-06-22T00:37:00","slug":"the-joy-of-sox","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/thedomesticsoundscape.com\/wordpress\/?p=177","title":{"rendered":"The Joy of Sox"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In my post this morning, I forgot to mention the massive confidence-boosting power that <a href=\"http:\/\/thomasinaknits.blogspot.com\/\">Liz&#8217;s<\/a> lovely socks gave me yesterday, at the conference.<\/p>\n<p>Yes, it was the first time that I&#8217;ve worn the lovely socks she gave me before I had surgery.<\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"width: 352px; height: 265px;\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/farm4.static.flickr.com\/3256\/2592501548_7e3b6f97fd.jpg?w=950\" \/><\/div>\n<p>They are gorgeously soft, fit my feet perfectly, and nurture my toes in every way. I loved wearing them all day long and they gave me a marvellous feeling from the toes up.<\/p>\n<p>I have also enjoyed my newly finished Jaywalkers during my stay in Newcastle. And even though it&#8217;s June, I&#8217;ve appreciated the woolly goodness.<\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"width: 355px; height: 267px;\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/farm4.static.flickr.com\/3016\/2591662071_893556efde.jpg?w=950\" \/><\/div>\n<p>I love the pooling, the striping, the shaping, the warmth.<\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"width: 353px; height: 471px;\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/farm4.static.flickr.com\/3026\/2592498482_bb30cb3696.jpg?w=950\" \/><\/div>\n<p>But most of all, I love the colours.<\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"width: 354px; height: 266px;\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/farm4.static.flickr.com\/3202\/2592504900_1c76b4a0c2.jpg?w=950\" \/><\/div>\n<p>My feet have mended really well. There is some reversion to the former wonkiness; they haven&#8217;t stayed ramrod straight since I had the surgery and are lapsing slightly. But I am pleased with the results; the main point is that now there is space between my toes and I feel generally that it will be easier to walk and run, in the longterm.
