I ripped back the seams 3 times before I was happy with the way they were looking; I think mattress stitch on bias fabric with ribbing on it is ridiculously difficult to seam neatly and if I knit this again, I&#8217;ll adapt it in such a way that it can be executed in the round.<\/p>\n<p>&#8230;but I love it. I love the bias fabric and the way it hugs and drapes. And although it knit up a little bit stringy in the home-dyed 4-ply, the mercerised cotton is comfortingly heavy and drapes beautifully.
