The other day I got a beautiful, hand-crafted package from one of my really great friends<\/a>. It was so cheering and lovely that I felt it necessary to share the package and its lovely contents here and to make a public declaration of thanks for all the love. It has certainly filled me with joy.<\/p>\n

Thanks so much, ansnagbreac<\/a>; this came at a very good moment when I really needed a hand-made lift. For those of you curious about the blog title, An Snag Breac<\/em> is Irish for Magpie<\/em>.<\/p>\n

In other news, several projects I’ve been working on are coming together, including the Sound Diaries Project<\/a> which I am collaborating on with my supervisor in the Sonic Arts Research Unit at Oxford Brookes.<\/p>\n

I was foolish to try and do NaBloPoMo in the light of so much industry; never mind. I’m much enjoying the more successful blogging efforts of Liz<\/a> and Ysolda<\/a>.<\/p>\n

I also finally got around to publishing my feminist approach to the domestic soundscape<\/a> paper on here. It is good to re-read it in the light of current writings on the Fantastical Reality Radio Show…<\/p>\n
