The fish wallpaper on the cover of the Sonic Wallpapers<\/em> book inspires a lot of fun and speculation amongst onlookers. During the interviews for the project, many people attempted to interpret the moods of the fish, while others speculated on potentially comedic implementations of this wallpaper such as putting it across one entire wall in a living room ‘to pretend the whole room is a giant aquarium’.<\/p>\n

As with the sparklers discussed in a previous post, I therefore found myself searching for sounds that would evoke an air of play<\/em>. I decided to augment some recordings created in the bathroom (where it was almost unanimously decided this paper should go) with some bubble-blowing. I used this to underscore the sense of fun and mischief in what people said about the design.<\/p>\n
