This Saturday I will be selling copies of my handmade publications at BOOKFACE at The Rising Sun Arts Centre. On sale will be:

Love is Awesome postcard sets (£8 for the set, or £1 per individual cards)

BOOKFACE Sunday 14th November 11am – 5pm

A book fair with a difference! Artists and writers will be exhibiting and selling their work. Artists’ book creations, experimental and altered works, small press, installations, local authors, poets, comic book artists and book collectors. Listen to readings and watch artists’ demos. Browse the book stalls, share ideas, relax and enjoy drinks and snacks at the bar.

At The Rising Sun Arts Centre, 30 Silver Street, Reading Berkshire RG1 2ST

Browse stalls including Lazy Gramophone Press (arts collective & Independent publishers) with artist Claudia Forsbrey and writers Joanne Tedds and Will Conway performing readings of their latest works. Printmaker Cath Baldwin will show you how to make a bookplate with a hand press, illustrator, Caroline Quin will be running a story board workshop at 2pm. You can etch your own small copper book cover with jewellery designer Hilda Davidson. Rising Sun Arts Centre’s ZAP Project launch their new magazine. Will Travelyan telling stories for children and adults. Artists Richard Conway Jones, Anna Mitchell, Felicity Ford, Larry Watson, Geoff Sawers, Oxfam Books and more will be selling their handmade books, limited editions, comic books, calligraphy maps and poetry.

Chris Mercier, Angela Huggett Willis, Steve King, Ross Hale, Jon Lockhart, Julia Rogers, Ingrid Jensen, Shehnoor Ahmed, Jo Thomas, Clemens Steigleder, Neile Wright, Sue Carson, Kate Carson, Gabriella Corbani, Anita Benson, Reading University students – Cara, Annie, Zoe & Shelagh, Wealden Manor Press and more, all exhibiting artists’s books, sculptures and handmade works.

In addition stalls will be selling cards, prints, badges, stickers, bookmarks. There will be a book swap area, so bring a good read to swap for a new one. There will be handmade cakes and savouries, organic beers and wine and tea and coffee on sale in the café.
