There has been quite a bit of gardening going on around here lately. This has also involved sorting through my collection of seeds and plotting next year’s growth, which has meant much consultation of seed packets, and seed catalogues. A post I read a while back reminded me of a beautiful desk calendar which Kate gave me for 2010, featuring vintage seed packet illustrations.

Now because I love vintage seed packet illustrations, I had kept the calendar. But since I can no longer use it for its intended purpose, I decided in my studio clearout that these wonderful illustrations – in the spirit of celebrating the recent atmosphere of gardening round here – should be turned into the finest vintage seed packet button badges ever seen in the land.
