I had a lovely birthday and can’t quite believe I’m now 28… it feels like the time between each year just shrinks every year.
This is basil I planted this spring; the seeds were a gift to me last year from my friend Caro, who also gave me this wicked birthday card:
…and the bag in this photo which says on it ‘i heart felix.’
I was also spoiled with gorgeous homemade marmalade from Lara and a card I can ‘plant…’ who knows what flourishing blossoms will mark 29?
I have also discovered, via the magic of birthday gifts, the wonderful Martin Gulliver, whose beautiful spotty, stripey, joyful bakeware just fills me with delight. (Caro sent me a blue and white dotty ladle to go with the dotty apron that Sharon sent me last year… we are the league of dotty apron wearers…hooray!)
Very little knitting news, but I have finished the walking stick I was working on and will bind in the ends, paint the handle and post forthwith.
