Tomorrow the Bluestockings are going on a yarn crawl.
I have hidden my bank card somewhere where even I can’t reach it, have placed apportioned stash budget in wallet, and have a whole basket packed with fliers and posters about the knitting competition to bring with me. I have also packed my polka-dot walking stick cosy which I will unashamedly blog about since I can’t win my own competition and the sharing of the knitting is just too much fun to keep to myself.
Thus:

Here is the inside, with the slipped stitches stranding a bit. I think this will give the cosy a nice squishy quality, also making it tighter than it would be without…

The yarn was purchased in a lovely yarn store in Germany. The actual store was not as photogenic as this one I spotted in Brühl, but it did have lovely staff and an illustrious selection of Lana Grossa yarns.

More knitting shops tomorrow.
In the meantime I am very pleased to have found an amazing project on the Internet; it is best described here on weaverknits’ flickr, where you can also see the Illustrious Wheels of Fury hat.
In other news, the Missability Radio Show posters have found themselves a wonderfully appropriate location in the window of a closed down Chemist where old disability related medical equipment is currently strewn in a grey heap.
I am so happy to see them working in this space!
