There is no end to the fun that can be had with a pocket full of tester-strips.
I think the sky on Thursday over the North Oxford Canal most closely resembled Blue Seduction #3, and the murky waters around our vessel looked like fun shades of Tarragon Glory, Khaki Mists and Forest Lake.
To my eyes, the traditional roses painted on the doors seemed like Adobe Pink, Rich Havana, Volcanic Splash and Sapphire Springs.
In my enthusiasm to match everything in view with my fine set of tester-strips, I missed the gust of wind that robbed me of my Ruby Fountain strip, right after I had matched it to the red paint on the top of the Narrowboat!
I turned to other fun, such as celebrating the birthday of one of my wonderful brothers. Happy Birthday, Teggers!
And relishing the misty views across the cut first thing in the morning.
I also recorded many amazing sounds from the waterways. It was great to be on a boat for a day; thanks for making it possible, Pops, Bam & Tegs x
