Completion.

The River stole is finished and blocked. Katie helped me enormously with the blocking, then I wove in the ends and now it is done and I can’t believe how very happy I am with it.

There is just one very slight thing bothering me: There was a knot with some long ends somewhere in the knitting and I just double-knotted the knot (reef knot style) and then cut the ends off, very short. This was incredible last-minute laziness on my part and I am now dreading the terrible consequences of the knot coming undone and the beautiful stole being ruined. Should I get some dark green cotton and wrap and stitch that knot up good and proper, or is likely to be fine in the end?

I remember when Liz finished her River Stole… it was ages and ages ago and I had only recently rediscovered the joys of knitting. I was so amazed at the beauty of the stole and I remember thinking ‘I would never be able to make something like that.’ Isn’t it so great learning that you normally *can* make something – even if you have to tink it back, revise the pattern, rewrite something a bit etc.?

I have also finished writing ‘Missability News,’ my project write-up. I can’t believe it’s done…
