Messy Studio…

After reading Ysolda’s post featuring her workspace, I decided we needed a recent photo of The Studio.

I am not sad it is such a mess; the state it’s in is representative of yesterday’s wrapping-paper making, in which much fun was had.

To make said wrapping paper I assembled rubber stamps from my collection, old potatoes from the vegetable bowl and a roll of wallpaper purchased from Orinoco for the extremely fair price of about 30p. I cut potatoes into star and heart shapes and printed many sheets of assorted fun using some old tubes of acrylic paint for the potato prints and my inking pads, for the rubber stamps.

This thrifty joy yesterday was a good distraction because today is a sad day in our house and we need the cheerful prospect of Christmas to keep us going.
