Does anyone else ever nip over to SomaFM and open up the Groovesalad link when feeling a bit razzled? I always do. It serves ‘a nicely chilled plate of ambient grooves’ and if you need the musical equivalent of an Indian head massage, this online radio station always delivers.
I’ve just booked a holiday from Monday – Friday next week on an organic farm, in a wooden room called The Studio which has its own kitchen and storage heating. I plan to excel at sleeping, resting, walking and stew-making during my short sojourn there, but I’ve also discovered that on the farm there are some rare varieties of sheep, including Pedigree Black Wensleydales and some White and Black Pedigree Wensleydale Cross-Breeds. Any yarn requests?
They have a ‘Wool Room’ which I expect I will spend most of the week rolling in. Oh dear, it’s no longer looking like such a great place for writing…
I meant to post about a very special guest I had visiting The Missability Radio Show’s exhibition in the Oxford Brookes Drama Studio.
This is the naughty squirrel who came in several times, casing the joint, before raiding the much-blogged about cake-stand of joy, and making off with a rich tea biscuit delicately clutched in his paws.It ran around a few times, presumably making squirrel calculations based on distance, speed etc. and then finally sussed that he could probably access the cakestand via the Walking Stick Cosy Wardrobe.
You can just see him experimenting with the sturdiness of the wardrobe cosy before making his coup. The squirrel was so quick up and down that stick, onto that cakestand and back out of the door that I wasn’t able to capture it red-pawed with the actual, stolen biscuit. Still, it’s visit made The Missability Radio Show very happy.
