The Hub returns to the air tonight at 9pm.

Meerkat snowburrow

The Hub is an independently produced radio programme, broadcast on BBC Oxford 95.2 FM, and celebrating local music, art, culture and other joy and it will be on BBC Oxford tonight at 9pm, featuring – among many other things – the creator of this season’s mascot, a knitted Meerkat produced by Niftyknits for the show.

Tune in on the airwaves or online to hear my interview with Heather about knitted meerkats, and the ramble that Mark and I took around Appleford investigating a thatched wall that is there for my I SPY/I HEAR weekly feature! As well as this, we are talking to Supergrass, checking out the Ashmolean and taking a look at the best of the local christmas pantos… also, of course, a good mix of music.

You can follow The Hub on Twitter here; and on Facebook here.

Catch the show tonight at 9pm, or listen again at any time during the following week via the BBC iPlayer.

The Meerkat has clearly been inspired by the snow this week…

Snowkat building

Snowkat guarding

Snowprints

And Meerkat snow-angel.

Have a great Sunday, whatever you are doing and may there be play and great radio wherever you are.

Lots of lovely surprises on your blog! Love the sheepy-goodness jumper – its brilliant! I keep trying to think of ways to combine different sheep wools – you’ve really showcased the UK’s finest there!
